During haze period we are exposed to health problems such as lung infections fever sore throat cough or red eyes etc. Here are some tips to protect yourself from haze:
• Wear a mask when you are outdoor.
• Minimize outdoor activities to avoid inhaling polluted air.
• Protect your eyes carry eye drops with you temporarily avoid wearing       contact lens or reduce the time of wearing contact lens.
• Drink plenty of water eat more fresh fruits and vegetables to increase         the immune system try to avoid fried & spicy food.
• Wash hand & clothes frequently to remove the pollution residue         attached to your body.

White Foods

Example: Job’s tears lotus seeds flaxseed lily bulb white sesame medlar white fungus pear etc. These white foods are effective in helping phlegm clearing away heat and moistening the lungs relieving cough prevent and relieve the problem of lung injury.

Whole grains

Whole grains are rich in vitamin B helps to improve lung health and reduce the risk of lung cancer.

Corn

Corn contains beta-cryptoxanthin(beta-carotene) which helps to protects the lungs and reduces inflammation in the lungs and risk of lung cancer.

Brown rice

Brown rice is rich in selenium and vitamin E which enhances immune system and strengthens the lung function.

Berries

Example: Blueberry Strawberry grapes mulberry blackcurrent etc. Berries rich in anthocyanins helps to protect the lungs against damage.

Beans

Beans are rich in antioxidants that help protect our lungs from infection or damage improve lung function.
