PETALING JAYA: A multigrain company and an online food distributor have signed a deal to use their respective expertise to expand the market for halal products.

The memorandum of cooperation (MoC) between GoodMorning Global Group Holdings Bhd and DagangAsia Network Holdings Sdn Bhd will see both companies join forces to bring halal multigrain health beverages and plant-based products to Indonesia and the Middle East.

The halal market is expected to achieve a valuation of RM420 million within the next five years, making it one of the largest emerging markets.

Under the deal DagangAsia, one of the largest B2B halal e-marketplaces, will provide GoodMorning Global with a space on its online platform to share its products with consumers.

GoodMorning Global founder and executive chairman Lim Sin Boon said the partnership would help his company reach more customers.

He said it would also enable the company to promote healthy eating.

DagangAsia CEO Sam Hwang expressed confidence that the collaboration would make its platform DagangHalal.com more noticeable in their intended markets.

GoodMorning Global has also received the endorsement of the centre for food safety and quality of Oman, giving it a head start in the Middle Eastern market.
