What are Antioxidants?
You have probably heard of “antioxidant” but do you ever know what antioxidant really is and how it works? Antioxidants play important roles in our body it protects our body cells by effectively clearing free radicals and prevents oxidative damage. Besides antioxidants have the properties of anti-aging anti-cancer and anti-inflammation some of the diseases are preventable by antioxidants such as diabetes cancers and heart disease.
Antioxidants can be found in fruits and vegetables such as citrus fruits. Oxidation in the human body creates unstable molecules called ‘free radicals’ these molecules cause large chain chemical reactions eventually these reactions cause damage to our body cells. Nevertheless there are internal and external factors that cause the number of free radicals increase in the body such as smoking diet digital devices and UV exposure thus the preventions should start from both factors.
The Pyramid of Antioxidants
Antioxidants can be classified into 2 classes: primary antioxidants and secondary antioxidants. For primary antioxidants it is naturally produced by the body such as superoxide dismutases(SOD) catalase(CAT) and glutathione peroxidase(GPx) as the first line of the defense against the oxidative stress primary antioxidant will correspond to the endogenous system it has high catalytic properties and is involved in the elimination of millions of free radicals. Whereas the secondary antioxidants only come from our food such as glutathione vitamins and minerals secondary antioxidant corresponds to an exogenous system it is only able to quench one free radical.
Antioxidants Whitening and Beauty
The dark spot on your skin is associated with sunlight and blue light these lights will stimulate melanocytes on your skin to produce large amounts of melanin and deposits on the skin surface. Nevertheless symptoms such as skin darkening aging wrinkles erythema sunburn and cancer are related to the UVA and UVB from sunlight. Both nutrition and dietary antioxidants could enhance skin protection and repair. In fact healthy skin is associated with antioxidants it helps to fight against free radicals prevents wrinkles and inflammation. Based on the primary antioxidants these antioxidant enzymes consist of trace elements (copper zinc and selenium) in their active sites for enzymatic activity whereas secondary antioxidants reduce skin cellular damage.
Inner Protection Against UV Rays?
The protection must start from both inside and outside instead of just from outside protection to reach the optimal result. GoodMorning VBright comprises antioxidants-rich ingredients such as melon high concentration from France and grape seed extract. VBright contains both primary and secondary antioxidants such as SOD L-Glutathione and Vitamin E. The antioxidants content in VBright able to quench free radicals in a ratio 1:1000000 which is a very wise choice for antioxidants in beauty and whitening.
